ICOS speakers include governors,
legislators, business representatives, academic researchers, community
development workers, non profit organization development
representatives. We are hoping to offer more support and development
into Taiwan's open source field through participants sharing their
thoughts and experiences during ICOS. ICOS gives the best opportunity
for you to meet experts in different field. Expecting more than 500
participants join us in these three days.
The main themes of ICOS are
“improve the awareness of open source”, “encourage digital learning and
eliminate the digital divide”, “establish the communication channel”,
“promote Taiwan open source polity”.

ICOS
2009 will take place at Taipei Technology Building from Sep 25th
to 27th. Six agenda will be presented within three days: education,
government, local community, global community, business, and non-profit
organization.
Each agenda has seminars and panel discussion meetings including more
than fifteen topics. Each topic tremendously influences Taiwan open
source world on information education, research/development, and also
promotion.
ICOS 2009 additionally cooperates two more activities with the relevant
community association; first, invite our community to participate “CMS
Comparison, NPO Judgment, and NPO Website Improvement Contest”.
Secondly, acknowledge and award our staff's dedication and efforts in
biennial “Open Source Promoting Award Ceremony”.
“NPO Website Improvement Contest” will invite several different CMS
communities to participate the twelve-hour marathon on NPO website
enhancement; various technique will be explored.

to explore more undiscovered open source businesses, and to meet more
